Enhanced regional cooperation on Environment, Climate Change and Water

6th European Union-Central Asia High Level Conference on Environment and Water Cooperation

Mitigating climate change and promoting green economy in Central Asia will be in the spotlight of the 6th European Union–Central Asia High-Level Conference to be held on 24-25 January 2019 in Tashkent. The event will gather ministers and high-ranking diplomats responsible for environment, climate change and water policies of the Central Asian countries, the European Union and the EU Member States to build upon the work done since the last High-Level Conference in Milan in 2015.

The conference is being organised under the EU–Central Asia Platform for Environment and Water Cooperation. Under the chairmanship of the European Union, the lead country in the project – Italy, and the host of the event – Uzbekistan, the participants will exchange views and define the priorities for the EU – Central Asia future cooperation on a broad range of issues concerning environment, climate change and water.
